Youth Sunday - February 8th

We have such a great youth group, we enjoy allowing them to take charge of Sunday services every 2 or 3 months. On February 8th, come and encourage our youth and cheer Ben Bonsett on as he shares his insights from Scripture.

Valentine Party - February 14th

Signup to bring your sweetie to a Christian Valentine’s Party.
Meal begins at 6:30 pm (please sign up by Feb 8th so we have an idea how many to plan for).
THEN, at 7:30 we’ll be screening “Fireproof” - a powerful movie starring Kirk Cameron, about a fireman who’s a hero to everyone but his wife. It’s not only an entertaining video—it offers real insights on how to make our marriages stronger. (Child care provided)

Fireproof Movie Synopsis

At work, inside burning buildings, Capt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter's adage: “Never leave your partner behind”. At home, in the cooling embers of his marriage, he lives by his own rules.

His wife Catherine always dreamed of marrying a loving, brave firefighter...just like her dad. Now, after 7 years of marriage, she wonders when she stopped being "good enough" for her
husband.

Arguments over jobs, finances, housework, and outside interests have readied them both to move on to something with more sparks. As the couple prepares to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's father challenges his son to commit to a 40-day experiment: "The Love Dare." While trying to stay true to his promise, Caleb becomes frustrated time and again. He finally asks his father, "How am I supposed to show love to somebody who constantly rejects me?" Is it too late to fireproof his marriage? His job is to rescue others. Now Caleb Holt is ready to face his toughest job ever...rescuing his wife's heart.

Tobagganning - February 28th

Pokagon State Park has the state’s only refrigerated toboggan run (think a roller coaster where you have to carry the cart back to the start). We’re getting a group together to go February 28th, right after men’s prayer breakfast. If there’s enough snow on the ground, you could rent skis for a cross-country skiing experience. Any youth must be accompanied by an adult.
