ANNUAL MEETING

October 26th at Noon
Our annual meeting has always been in January, but we decided we couldn’t make the proper plans for the upcoming year after it was already a month gone… so we’ve moved it to October. THERE WILL BE ONE SERVICE that Sunday!

Our Fall Festival (intended as a safe and family friendly alternative to Halloween) is scheduled for Sunday, October 19th starting at 4 pm. Kids are encouraged to dress up in all kinds of outfits for our “Costume Parade”, but please NO ghoulish or frightening masks and attire.

We’ll have a hayride, games, food, and—of course—the trunks of cars backed up in a semi-circle and loaded with candy. Greg Peck will be bringing the devotion which will help the kids center on the Christ who changes people (and dresses them in elegant white garments in eternity).
There’ll be a signup for people that want to bring their cars, and another for volunteering to do various activities.

ACF is having a Spring Golf Outing on May 29th at the Greenfield Country Club. Cost will be $75 per golfer and monies raised will be put in the scholarship fund. If you’re interested, see Jeff.

Johnson Bible College (in Knoxville, Tennessee, where Tasha is attending) is holding a Women’s Retreat featuring Kay Moll, May 16th and 17th. Transportation is arranged. If you’d like to go as well see Tammy Broad.

Rainbow Christian Camp—It’s time to plan now for the summer camp season. If you have any questions, call Bev Seybold or Rainbow Camp.

Summit Theological Seminary will have Kendall Faull in to teach on the book of Colossians. Kendall is a dynamic preacher and you’ll learn some valuable insights into this great letter to the church. Thursdays at 7:00 pm. For more information call 765-472-4111.

GARNET CALZEDA TO SPEAK May 4th

There will be only ONE service on this Sunday. Followed by a carry-in dinner to honor our special guest.
At 9:30 Garnet Calzeda—our medical missionary in Mexico—will be here to speak during the Sunday School Hour. She’s an interesting speaker and a visionary for the cause of Christ. She’s already helped train preachers for several churches in that area, besides ministering to the sick and needy in a land where there’s plenty of sick and needy—all in the name of Jesus.
I went with our mission team last summer and I’m convinced her talk will inspire you and your family. So, ya’ll come and hear about what God is doing south of the border.

LADIES TEA May 16th

Our ladies are planning their annual “Tea Party” May 16th at 6:00 pm. They wouldn’t let me in last year (I guess my wig didn’t fool them) but it’s a great time for the ladies of our congregation—and their friends—to enjoy each other’s company in a fun atmosphere.
SPECIAL NOTICE: There will be a “Hat Contest” that night.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST—May 17th

Women have their tea… men have their breakfast. It’s always good food, but also a time to focus as men on the most important weapon in the Christian arsenal. When men pray together things happen. Plan to be there Saturday May 17th at 7:30 am.
Real men get up early to pray.

Mexican Missionary To Speak

Garnet Calzeda—our medical missionary in Mexico—will be here to speak at our worship times and Sunday School Hour on the 20th. That will be ten days before her birthday (and “no” I don’t know how old she’ll be).

So, ya’ll come and hear about what God is doing south of the border

New Family Meal - April 27th

We’ve had such an influx of new families this past year that we felt it would be a good time to get everybody together (new people & old members) to bond in a time of fun, frolic and frivolity… along with some good food.
Date: April 27th - Sunday Evening
Time: 6:00 pm
What to bring? A covered dish and a board game.

National City Bank has been kind enough to allow our church to put up a display in their foyer like many of the businesses have done. We plan to have three separate presentations: One for the church, one for Upward Flag Football, and one for the SonShine Boys quartet. In addition, we will have brochures and magnets and other material at the table. Keep this in prayer that there will be people become interested in our church family because of this effort.

ship with God.
