Trunk Or Treat

Saddle-up partner for a great time of fun at our annual Harvestfest. Decorate your car trunks and truck beds, fill them with candy and come share in this exciting opportunity of introducing kids to Christ in a safe and action packed event. There will be food, games, a costume parade and maybe even a hayride (we’re still working on that). Sign up sheets are at back of worship area.
DATE: October 27th from 4:00 til 6:30 pm.
Please, no ghoulish or scary outfits.

LOOK WHAT GOD IS DOING!

We’ve got ourselves a new 14 passenger bus (well actually it’s about 3 years old) with our name emblazoned on the side. We've already used it a few times and it has made it possible for us to minister to more families and children than ever before. Our thanks to the family that has underwritten this ministry tool.
ALSO, there’s the new overhead projector that beams a brilliant display on the wall for our songs and Sermon notes. Our old one suffered from age spots (a big yellow spot on every slide). But this new one (donated by a family in the congregation).
AND the picnic shelter’s been re-stained and a beautiful white cross decorates one wall.
AND, last but not least, Trampas Young is organizing an “Upward Football” program for this Spring. We’ll be having several teams of young kids playing flag football under the supervision of Godly trainers who will focus, not only on the basics of football, but on Bible lessons and prayer.

News On Mexican Mission

Barb Allison told about going to Wal-Mart recently and seeing shoes on clearance. She asked the salesgirl what would happen to the shoes not sold. She was told to ask for the Manager Mark (Torres). She says “When I walked into the store he was standing right there at the entrance and I feel God had him there for me to talk to.” Mark donated 27 pairs of children's shoes from their sale tables (retail value of $295.56) for our mission in Mexico.
Two weeks ago Mary, the owner of Mary's Stitch and Knit donated 88 yards knit fabric for the same ministry. She was discontinuing these fabrics and we’ll be able make are blankets for the couples that live on the mountain.
ALSO Garnett Calzada (our Medical Missionary for this mission) will be coming to visit us in April when she will be in the states for speaking engagements. She told me she has a sister who is very ill and she would like to see her before she gets any worse.
